Rototilt launches smart solution for high flows and tiltrotators
Rototilt has developed a solution for using tools and tiltrotators that require high flow on machines with just one hydraulic circuit. The patent-pending solution is called High Flow Controller (HFC).
“HFC is a smart solution, and virtually all base machines can simultaneously use both a flow-intensive tool and a tiltrotator,” says product manager Sven-Roger Ekström.
Simply put, a tiltrotator can now be run at the same time as tools that requires high flows in a single direction, such as sweeper rollers or large compactors. Previously, this was only possible if the base machine was equipped with several hydraulic circuits. With HFC, only one circuit is required for hammer hydraulics, which creates the capability for virtually all machines on the market.
The oil is distributed between tools and the tiltrotator, with all tiltrotator functions running at reduced speed.
Operators use joysticks to proportionally control flows to both tools and the tiltrotator via Rototilt’s Innovative Control System (ICS).
HFC requires Rototilt’s R4, R5, R6 or R8 Tiltrotator, equipped with a high flow swivel and ICS.
